DANIEL GIVERIN

From Limerick, by way of Manchester, Daniel is an accomplished fiddler, guitarist and flute player, who has spent many years playing the Irish pub circuit in and around Montreal where he currently makes his home.

He has appeared in numerous films with lead roles in South Of The Moon and So Faraway and Blue.

Most notably he appeared opposite Brendan Fraser and Mario Bello playing Benjamin Fry in The Mummy 3.

A theater veteran, Daniel received rave reviews for his portrayal of Pato in Centaur Theatre’s production of The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Among his many other outstanding theater credits are Storm Warning, A Night In November, John Gray's Rock and Roll and No Great Mischief.

In 2000 Daniel wrote and performed his own, extremely successful one-man play, The Two Trees, based on the life and writings of famed Irish poet William Butler Yeats. The Two Trees went on to receive several critically-acclaimed productions in Canada as well as a subsequent tour of Ireland, culminating in a special presentation at the Yeats Summer School.

 

RANDY VANCOURT

An award-winning composer and performer, Randy has appeared across Canada and the U.S. as a musician, writer and comic.

Since Summer 2007 Randy has been touring to sold out audiences and rave reviews with his production of BOARDWALK! The Doo-Wop Show.

Born Lucky , the musical he based on his own father's published books, premiered to rave reviews in July 2008 and continues to tour. Show schedules are available here.

His other original stage musicals include Forever For Now (Muskoka Festival), The Christmas Show (Winter Garden Theatre) and with David Gale, the award-winning comedy Chutzpah à Go-Go, which ran for 4 years in Canada and had its U.S. premiere in February 2009. His musical Dead Air enjoyed a 10-month run at Toronto's Mysteriously Yours Theatre.

His television work includes writing songs for Dudley The Dragon (PBS/YTV), Hello Mrs. Cherrywinkle (PBS/Family Channel), Rockabye Bubble (TVO) and three Loving Spoonfuls TV specials. He wrote and performed the theme songs for À La Poursuite de Carmen Sandiego (Radio Canada), Our Magazine and YTV's Don't Lick The Pig.

He has been Musical Director for over 100 stage productions ranging from the Second City Touring Company to the Canadian premiere of The Brady Bunch Live. He is one-half of Canada's Original Dueling Pianos show, which has been touring extensively for the past 10 years, and he is also one of the co-creators of Radio Freaks, who were heard nationally for 3 years on CIUT-FM Radio.

Randy's song Donor Card enjoyed wide airplay, appearing on the syndicated Dr. Demento radio show.

 

PAUL GIBSON

A dual Canadian-Irish citizen, Paul is a busy musician and performer, as well as one-third of the hit musical, BOARDWALK! The Doo-Wop Show.

Other credits include: SALTWATER MOON, THE MELVILLE BOYS, ROCK AND ROLL, PUMPBOYS AND DINETTES, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.

For the past 15 years Paul has been half of the children’s musical duet THE STYLAMANDERS.

His 2003 Toronto Fringe hit, THAT BOY, won first prize in the Festival playwriting contest. He has written, directed, composed and performed in various corporate entertainment events, and recently completed a play chronicling the life of Gypsy jazz guitarist, Django Reinhardt.
