An award-winning writer, composer and performer, Randy has appeared across Canada and the U.S. as a musician, conductor, playwright and comic, including working with both THE MUPPETS and the SECOND CITY.

His songs have been performed by the likes of Rick Mercer, Mary Walsh, Cathy Jones and John Neville.

He has written numerous musicals and comedies including THE ROCKY ROAD TO DUBLINBOARDWALK! The Doo-Wop Show, and BORN LUCKY, a musical he based on the writings of his father, award-winning author A. Lawrence Vaincourt (A Soldier Died Today). With LOVING SPOONFULS star David Gale, Randy wrote the wildly successful CHUTZPAH à GO-GO, that went on to a lengthy 4 year run in Canada followed by its U.S. premiere in 2009.

His other original stage musicals include FOREVER FOR NOWTHE CHRISTMAS SHOW and the musical murder mystery DEAD AIR, which enjoyed a 10-month run at Toronto's Mysteriously Yours Theatre.

His television work includes writing songs for DUDLEY THE DRAGON (PBS/YTV), HELLO MRS. CHERRYWINKLE (PBS/Family Channel), ROCKABYE BUBBLE (TVO) and three LOVING SPOONFULS TV specials. He adapted 102 animation scripts for the MR. MEN SHOW SHOW, and wrote and performed the theme songs for À LA POURSUITE DE CARMEN SANDIEGO (Radio Canada), OUR MAGAZINE and YTV's DON'T LICK THE PIG

A skilled multi-instrumentalist, Randy has been Musical Director on dozens of stage productions, including several national tours. He has conducted productions ranging from THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and THE FULL MONTY to ANNE OF GREEN GABLES and THE BRADY BUNCH LIVE.

For over 17 years Randy has toured as one-half of THE ORIGINAL CANADIAN DUELING PIANOS show, and was also one of the co-creators of RADIO FREAKS, who were heard nationally for 3 years on Canadian radio. 

He currently writes RAMBLINGS, a syndicated column in periodicals across Canada. Archived columns can be read HERE.

In 2005 Randy was honored to have his comedy song DONOR CARD appear on the syndicated DR. DEMENTO radio show.
